A new album, opening for Blink-182, and a lineup change, it’s been an eventful year for the American pop-punk band THE STORY SO FAR. Six years since their last release, a whole lot has changed, but their hearts remain the same. Having been in the punk space since 2007, it’s inevitable that their sound will also grow — in a good way, of course. Now, we’re all banging our heads to their new hits “Big Blind” and “Letterman” that made their name known in a new generation of punk fans. Now, they’re taking this new era LIVE ON STAGE, with support from Superheaven and Koyo at the “I Want To Disappear in the USA” tour.
A long time in the making, it’s a record that witnessed the band’s struggles over the last six years. Cannon even told Rolling Stone that they almost broke up several times. Though here we are now, bangin’ our heads into oblivion as the band takes the record to the road. Packed with tracks that share everything they’ve been through, The Story So Far is far from over. Maturing and continuously growing, fans will definitely never grow apart from their hard-hitting anthems. Hearing these tracks live on stage, you might even shed a tear!
“We were waiting for all the stars to align for our individual situations so that this record could be the priority, and that we had the time and space to make it happen in the way that we wanted to,” Kevin Geyer told Melodic Magazine. “We went through a lot as people, and as a band, to discover what was working about it, and we leaned into that.”
Produced by Jon Markson, it’s an album that unveils the band’s tales of grief, anger, and growth. No matter how much challenges seemed to have brought them down, they always found a brighter side — something that gets them up. “We’re always just trying to make something that we love and that feels like it’s relevant to where we are in life,” Ryan Torf said.
This is a new side of The Story So Far that we didn’t really get to see in the previous LPs. Full of growth, hope, and self-reflection, the deeply personal album takes listeners into a deep dive of their souls. They too, are human after all. “We tried to make something that we connected with, and that hopefully our fans will like as well,” and it’s something that they’re really proud of.
Heading to Los Angeles, California, the band is set to perform at one of the country’s hottest venues for live entertainment — HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM. A historical place where the world’s most legendary acts have set foot on, it’s the best concert venue to witness The Story So Far’s legendary comeback. Known for its Art Deco-style interior and a 11,200-square-foot dance floor, it never fails to get the crowd wild as everyone rocks it all out.
It’s time to RSVP for the massive celebration as the story goes on. Book your tickets now!
