Supergrass at Hollywood Palladium

Supergrass have recently shared details of a brand new US tour, celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of “I Should Coco.” The news comes after Gaz Coombes and co. shared details of their UK tour dates, which will see them perform their critically revered debut album in full alongside some other fan faves.

The announcement broke after the members started teasing a comeback online, and stops were announced for major cities, including Glasgow, Nottingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds and London. More stops were shared for Bedford Park and The Piece Hall in Halifax, as well as a date in Margate and a concert at Ludlow Castle.

Now, the star-studded group have announced that they will be taking the tour across the pond later this year – confirming six brand new, exciting dates. The first of which is scheduled for the 2nd September, and will see the group hit the stage at the Teatro Metropolitan venue in Mexico City. After that, five gigs are lined up across the United States, including dates in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York. The stop in LA is the most anticipated as they’re planning a huge gig at the iconic Hollywood Palladium on the 5th September. This leg of the tour wraps up with a final performance in Boston on the 12th September at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway venue.

With its groundbreaking release in 1995, “I Should Coco” debuted at #3 on the charts. Following the band’s appearance at Glastonbury later that summer, the cult album hit #1 and sold more than a whopping 500,000 copies in the UK. It also hit another impressive mark, becoming the biggest-selling debut album from Parlophone Records since The Beatles rocked the music scene.

To celebrate thirty years since debuting, Supergrass will also be making their way down under for an Australian run of the tour. These gigs kick off in June, with two back-to-back performances in Melbourne on 7th - 8th June. This leg wraps up with an eagerly awaited stop at Sydney’s Opera House Concert Hall and Brisbane’s Tivoli on the 10th and 11th June, respectively.
