On Saturday April 5th, Tech duo Brutalismus 3000 are coming to the Hollywood Palladium as they conquer the coasts of North America on a mini run of shows. With only three shows scheduled for the continent this Spring (Toronto, NYC, and of course, L.A.) this isn’t one to miss if you’re a fan of hard house, drum and bass,trance, or any and everything in between.
These guys have been selling out shows all over Europe and have massive chatter on all the dance music forums over the web, so don’t sleep on these tickets now that they’re here. Make sure to meet us at The Hollywood Palladium on April 5th for Brutalismus 3000’s first show at the venue, and a part of their North American Live From Earth Tour. Brutalismus is made up of German DJ duo Victoria Vassiliki Daldas and Theo Zeitner. The group met on Tinder in 2018 (and have recently produced music together for the dating app’s new campaign) and began making music with each other in 2020 - putting out back to back EPs that Spring and Fall, titled Amore Hardcore & Liebe in Zeiten der Kola. They then went on to play the Boiler Room London festival in October of 2021, and have received millions of views of their DJ sets on Youtube. Their first official album, Ultrakunst has received praise and acclaim from the European Electronica charts and DJs across the spectrum.
Theo and Victoria have grown sick of the rave scene, and use their pent up energy to turn their own sounds into the talk of the world. Their music blends through the genres of Hyperpop, Electroclash, Hardcore house, and Gabber. Both coming from Europe and having influences from Punk scene sounds to Avril Lavigne, they have always been on the outer edge of cookie cutter techno music, and both began as a joke that producing club sounds was pretty easy. They rarely put themselves in a box though the world seems determined to, and above all, choose artistry over everything. Victoria once commented "When you create something, think of why you’re making it. It feels like some people forget about that and re-create what others have already done. Which makes some genres very stagnant and boring. We need to bring new visions, new ideas and new sounds into the world,”.
And their vision has been seen and works. Since their inception only five years ago, they’ve collaborated with Resident Advisor and Fabrique di Milano, and have held sets on major stages, like Coachella, Sziget Festival, Primavera Sound, and Hurricane Festival - to name a few. This new-era duo is taking over the EDM scene, so you won’t want to miss them as they touch down in Los Angeles this fall.
