Fans can expect two different setlists and two completely unique shows packed with Growlers hits, fan favorites, deep cuts, debuts, oddities, plus a few surprises!!
As lead singer and songwriter of LA surf-psychadelic legends The Growlers, Brooks Nielsen helped create a cult genre: Beach Goth. Part blood and part sand, the Beach Goth wave continues to flow through Brooks Nielsen’s most recent releases. In true Growlers fashion, the sound carries on in A Ride I'm Waiting For (June 2024), The Circle, Psycho & John Jones (August 2024) and Chinese Fountain Live (August 2024).
Spearheaded by singer Brooks Nielsen and guitarist Matt Taylor, The Growlers have created their own twisted path on the worldwide music scene. After bursting onto the scene in 2006 in Dana Point, California, the band has grown into a traveling circus. They’ve not only spawned their own annual event (Beach Goth) and grown an international fanbase, but released six awesome studio records that trace a line from garage psychedelic ballads to edgy radio pop.
On The Growlers’ first three albums – Are You In Or Out? (2009), Hot Tropics (2010), and Hung at Heart (2013) – they “combined reverb-rich waves of vintage surf rock with the dark, slow-burn melancholy of outlaw country.” Chinese Fountain landed in 2014 and introduced a new, disco-infused direction which was influenced by their move to Los Angeles. Between albums, The Growlers have toured constantly, raising their status as legends of the Los Angeles music underground. This hometown show at the iconic Hollywood Palladium is gonna be just as epic!
The Hollywood Palladium is a legendary theater located at 6215 Sunset Boulevard in the Hollywood neighborhood of LA, California. The theater was built in a stunning Streamline Moderne, Art Deco style and includes an 11,200-square-foot dance floor which boasts a mezzanine as well as a floor level with room for up to 4,000 people.
