Ring in the new year with a positive start as retro-soul band Thee Sacred Souls drifts towards the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday, December 31st!
Thee Sacred Souls is an alternative band that has proven how the first time is often the charm. When they first performed at local clubs, the group immediately scored a record deal with the Daptone label and earned the admiration of early supporters like Gary Clark Jr., The Black Pumas, Princess Nokia, and Timbaland.
After releasing a really brief snippet of their work on Instagram, the demo gained popularity as people began sharing it with others, leading to increased attention during their initial years. "Every step of the way has just been so organic. Things just seem to happen naturally when the three of us get together,” Garcia, the band’s drummer, shares.
Just last year, the breakout San Diego trio released their full self-titled debut, which led to international sold-out shows and invitations for appearances on national TV. Bosco Mann produced the tracklist, creating a warm and textured record that blends the laid-back elegance of '60s soul with the raw energy and rhythmic pulse of early '70s R&B. This album eventually made it to KCRW’s Top Albums of 2022 list, so prepare to hear the collection of award-winning tunes during this live event!
“With a polished modern production: crisp drums, gentle reverb, and an excellent mix of the background vocals, Thee Sacred Souls have one foot in the past and present. Several have already described them as having a timeless sound, but they are equally timeless in the sense that their soulful sound will have you completely invested,” The Mancunion shares.
Join the countdown and catch all four band members up close, including Josh Lane on lead vocals, Sal Samano on bass, and Alex Garcia on drums, with both Jensine Benitez and Tatiana Sandate as official backup singers.
The Hollywood Palladium will set the scene for this soulful performance with its chic and modern atmosphere. It certainly is a great indoor entertainment venue for those looking for excellent acoustics and top-of-the-line services!
