This December, W.a.s.p. is slated to turn the city upside down as they perform an exhilarating home city show. Machine,” and “I Wanna Be Somebody.” It has exactly been four decades since they dropped this brilliant work and this 2024, they celebrate its anniversary with a monumental tour with over 30 shows across the U.S.

The ten track work was an enigma of its time, while it’s most popular single, “I Wanna Be Somebody” became one of the most revered classic heavy metal staples of all time. VH1 even included it in their list of Top 100 Hard Rock Songs. Solidifying its success during its time was the band’s first ever gold certification as the album sold over 500,000 copies.
