Luke Hemmings just announced his solo tour, “Nostalgia for a Time That Never Existed,” and fans have been reeling with excitement. He's hitting stages all across the globe, including those in North America, Europe, and the UK from May to June! The 5 Seconds of Summer lead singer will be in the United States this summer, just in time to turn the heat up.
The tour announcement comes after the announcement of his forthcoming EP, Boy, which will be released on April 26. The artist adds on X that this endeavor is very personal to him. He wrote in a tweet: “I wrote these songs in a moment in my life when I found myself questioning everything I thought I knew about the world & myself. All the emotions, fears and grief that came with it.”
Additionally, his single "Shakes" was just released on March 6. This trip will be Hemmings' first solo tour. Cafuné will be the opening act - making it even more exciting. After the US run, he'll perform at the Boston Calling music event on Friday, May 24. It's safe to assume that Luke Hemmings has a lot of exciting things in the works for fans and you all should be ready for it.
The "Shakes" singer's debut solo album, "When Facing the Things We Turn Away From," was released in 2021. It was released in partnership with Sony Music Australia. The album was his very first project independent from 5 Seconds of Summer. Hemmings describes this album on X as "a project that grew out of a year of enforced stillness." This record marks the start of his music career outside of the band. It had three singles: "Motion," "Place in Me," and "Starting Line," which also has a music video.
