The Japanese girl group Atarashii Gakko! is continuing their applauded World Tour into the highly anticipated Part II. That means that the kawaii-but-fierce Mizyu, wildcard Suzuka, graceful Kanon, and funky Rin will be taking their own signature brand of J-pop from Asia and Europe to major venues across the United States and Canada. Atarashii Gakko! World Tour Part II will be taking over the iconic Hollywood Palladium on Sunday 20th October 2024. Atarashii Gakko!, known in Japan as Atarashii Gakkou no Leaders, is an awesome Japanese girl group that formed in 2015. The Whirlwind group represents a new generation of Japanese youth, otherwise known as “seishun” in their native tongue. This era embraces personal expression and transcends traditional boundaries. The outlandish four piece is made up of kawaii-but-fierce Mizyu, wildcard Suzuka, graceful Kanon, and funky Rin. Together, they break genre walls to cook up their own signature brand of music, combining elements of pop, jazz, hip-hop, rock, and more. Ultimately, the music of Atarashii Gakko! can be described as J-pop, while dipping their toes in other genres. The genre-bending group carries a powerful and vivid tone. Their cutting-edge sound is brought to life with punk energy and frantic dance moves, choreographed by the incredibly talented four members themselves.
Jointly managed with Asobisystem, Twin Planet and TV Asahi Music, the quartet made its Japanese debut in June 2017 through Victor Entertainment with the smash hit single "Dokubana", paving the way for their first album Maenarawanai [マエナラワナイ] in 2018. They expanded their following two-fold by releasing a popular catalog of albums, EPs, and singles. The quartet’s worldwide debut landed in January 2021 via 88rising with the stunning single "Nainainai". Fast forward to December 2023, and Atarashii Gakko! made it onto the silver screen, performing "Tokyo Calling" on prime time live television. And that was just the beginning for this girl group, with huge things on the horizon!!
From Jimmy Kimmel Live! right through to Coachella, Atarashii Gakko! is conquering the world with their effortlessly cool music. After performing a number of successful shows in North America and Asia, they are now embarking on a huge world tour. After wrapping up Part I of their trek which took them to major cities in Europe and Asia, Part II is set to kick off in Vancouver on September 26 and make its way to the iconic Hollywood Palladium on October 20.
